GDPR is Vitally Important for FE .. & Could Prove Expensive

We have seen GDPR posts everywhere in the last months. And for good reason. This regulation is going to hit the sector very hard. For ages, we’ve kept all sorts of lists of people that have shown a vague interest in our offer. They’ve been kept by MIS, the marketing department and countless staff have kept their own private lists, often because they don’t trust the others to do their job properly.

If we get GDPR wrong we could be fined quite heavily.

But there is an upfront cost as well. Staff need training and that costs in terms of course fees, travel, opportunity costs, cost of cover etc.

Course costs can be as high as £750.

Or you could choose to take a MOOC. They are free, very informative and cover all you need to know. you can take them at your desk or even on the train. You can discuss them with colleagues who are also taking the course.

£750 per person or free? You decide.
