Well, Caring for Customers is Like Painting Your Premises
In some senses it felt like a waste of time and money as we went for the same colour as before.
But, once it was done, it looked great and I felt better organised and more professional. I guess it is like wearing the right clothes .. you feel the part.
The thing with painting is that if you don’t maintain things on a regular basis they soon start to deteriorate, You don’t always spot it as you are always there. But others notice.
Caring for Customers is Like Painting Your Premises
In business we need to do more than paint the premises. Equipment needs to be kept up to date, as do our skills and mindset. If not they get too old and tired and fade; just like our paint was beginning to do.
With equipment it is easier to see when things are getting old. You get more breakdowns, quality suffers and rejects rise. You find competitors are producing faster, cheaper and better quality than you.
It is much harder to spot when customer care needs refreshing.
How will you “paint” your customer care skills? What signs are given when they deteriorate?
